Sociologist, filmmaker, writer.

Fabien Truong is a member of the Cresppa-CSU in Paris, lecturer at Paris 8 University, former fellow at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study.

He is conducting long-term ethnographic fieldworks in the outskirts of Paris (banlieues), which have lead to several sociology books and documentary films.

He is codirecting with Paul Pasquali the social sciences book series L’envers des faits at La Découverte.

He is the author of a narrative non fiction, La taille des arbres (2022) and a novel, Routines (to be published in March 2024).
